FOOTBALL Association of Zambia (FAZ) president Kalusha Bwalya says he is targeting the FIFA World Cup qualification for the Chipolopolo during his tenure of office.
Kalusha said he would only be satisfied with his achievements as an administrator once the Chipolopolo feature at the World cup.
“My target is to see the national team qualify to the World Cup in my administration. We have achieved a lot already but will be satisfied if we make it to the World Cup,” Kalusha said.
He was optimistic that the Chipolopolo would be ready for the World cup qualifiers and that Zambia would need three wins and a draw to make it to Russia 2018 finals.
Kalusha said FAZ would do everything possible to ensure that the World Cup dream was kept alive.
“We will do everything possible to keep the World Cup dream alive. We have never been there before, we will try to get results that will put us in good state,” Kalusha said.
He said Sudan was a good side with more experience but the Chipolopolo would be ready for the challenge in the two-legged World Cup qualifier in November.
Kalusha advised the players to believe in themselves if they were to succeed in their football careers.
The FAZ chief said he wanted to see more players invest more in their own abilities to play and be focused.
