THE Entrepreneurs Financial Centre (EFC) is committed to uplifting and supporting small-scale entrepreneurs (SMEs) and has so far given out K120 million to 25,000 SMEs country wide in the last six years.
EFC chairperson Nathan DeAssis said the financial lending institution would continue to operate in a prudent and efficient manner and ensure that the SME’s were supported.
Mr DeAssis said this when he officially opened the EFC Ndola branch yesterday.
Mr DeAssis said despite the slump in the economy, business houses must thrive and continue to operate.
He said people should not continue blaming the fall in the economy but instead find innovative opportunities and continue trading.
“We cannot continue to blame the bad economy; we should instead find innovative opportunities and continue trading, we cannot sit idle and not have a meal blaming it on the economy, let us continue with business,” he said.
Mr DeAssis said the economy would fluctuate from time to time, but it did not mean that people should stop their business.
He said the institution focuses on empowering the local business men and women who play a pivotal role in developing the private sector.
Mr DeAssis commended Government for having given them the opportunity to do their business in Zambia and help them grow financially as they support the SME’s.
