POLICE in Mansa have recovered property worth more than K29,000 suspected to have been stolen from Buntungwa Clinic and other places within Mansa.
Luapula Province police chief Hudson Namachila said the items were recovered from Reuben Village in Chief Chimese’s area and Sumbu Village in Chief Kalasa-Lukangaba’s area.
Mr Namachila said the suspect believed to be behind the spate of robberies was a polygamous man with several wives from whose homes the stolen items were recovered.
He said the suspect was currently in hiding and a manhunt had been launched.
Mr Namachila has since called on members of the public with lost items to go to Mansa Central Police station for identification purposes.
Among the items recovered were computers, printers, and bicycles.
Other items also included speakers and assorted groceries.
The goods were believed to have been stolen on August 30, this year.
