AUSTRALIA based upcoming singer Dalitso Tembo stage name D-Tembo is set to release his debut album entitled ‘‘When God Says Yes’’.
The project opens with a touching song called God Said , a duet with Inonge , a daughter to late guitarist Charles Muyamwa.
The song is based on the hardships that the 25-year-old went through and he hopes the track will inspire someone out there who might be going through rough times.
‘’ People always used to tell me that I cannot and would not do many things including releasing an album, but God said yes! The album has a few vernacular songs though most of them are in English’’, D-Tembo explained in an interview with the weekend Times entertainment from Australia.
He is hoping to launch the album sometime next year in Zambia when he permanently relocates upon completion of his studies in Behavioural Science and Law which he is pursuing at one of the universities in Australia.
D-Tembo counts gospel Clooneys Kirk Franklin, Cece Winas and Don Moen as his repertoire of influence while local artist Nathan Nyirenda’s song ‘’Life ‘tops the list of his all time favourite songs.
The budding singer who was born and raised in a Christian family only became a born again during his 12th grade at Lusaka’s Chalo Trust School.
When growing up, his peers and teacher of music told him that he had an angelic voice hence he could do well in music.
