ZAMTEL at the weekend launched a promotion dubbed Nonka Nonka, that will see one of their mobile subscribers win a brand new tipper truck valued at K600,000.
The promotion includes daily cash prizes. The total cost of the promotion to Zamtel is a staggering K3 million.
The 90 days promotion, which was launched on the Copperbelt, is aimed at empowering subscribers with a sustainable asset that would promote financial independence and build capacity.
This is contained in a press release made available to the Times in Lusaka at the weekend.
Zamtel recognises that in the recent past, promotions on the market have usually been one off prizes that lacked sustainability for the prize-winners.
Launching the promotion, company chief marketing officer Evans Muhanga said, Zamtel wanted to promote entrepreneurship among its subscribers by having a grand prize that has the ability to grow into a robust business that could add value to the subscriber.
He also highlighted that the possibilities of the winner entering into good business ventures such as construction or haulage are en-masse.
“We want to empower the grand prize winner with a sustainable capital asset of a brand new tipper truck that will encourage entrepreneurship.
The winner has the potential to add value in their community and country at large, by employing other people and contributing to the national economy.
The challenge to the winner therefore, is to leave a legacy that will stand the test of time,” Mr Muhanga said.
The promotion which is open to Zamtel mobile prepaid subscribers only, would give out a daily cash prize of K1,000 and up to K10,000 weekly.
This is in an addition to 50 weekly prizes of either K50 airtime or 1GB data bundles valid for seven days.
