By SPORTS REPORTER –
THE ruling Patriotic Front (PF) in Lusaka has warned people masquerading as the party’s members and disrupting football matches to stop their mischievous activities.
PF Lusaka District chairperson, Stafford Kayame advised people in the habit of wearing PF attire during football league matches in Lusaka to stop the practice and instead put on replica kit for the teams they support.
He said in a Press statement yesterday that the party does not condone such behaviour and alleged that it was the same group which has been going round the markets and bus stations harrassing people and getting money in the name of PF.
Kayame, who is former Zanaco secretary, said the PF district officials would be in stands at Nkoloma Stadium today during the Zambia’s African Under-23 Championship qualifying match against Ivory Coast to keep an eye on the masquerades.
He said the district leadership had since asked the Police command to arrest anyone found wanting.
