AIRTEL Networks Zambia has scooped the best communications services award at the just-ended Mkushi Agriculture and Commercial Show.
The telecommunications company was awarded the first prize in the communications services industry category in Mkushi.
Agriculture and Livestock Deputy Minister Greyford Monde, who earlier toured the stands, paid tribute to Airtel for being a constant supporter of the farmers in Mkushi farming bloc.
“Even in agriculture we need communication and information technology. Therefore, on behalf of Government I would like to thank you for your continued support through the years to the farmers of Mkushi,” Mr Monde said.
Mkushi Agricultural Commercial Show chairperson Victor Chisi and Mkushi District Commissioner Luke Mwamba were on hand to give the award to the Airtel team.
Airtel accounts manager Collins Mutukwa, who received the award thanked various co-operating partners and urged the farmers to keep using Airtel as their preferred choice of service provider.
Mr Mutukwa said the award was testimony of Airtel’s commitment to delivering quality telecoms services across the country.
