National team player, Kelvin Chibuye got the fourth position after beating Ndola Golf Club vice-capatin, Clavel Nguluta on a count back following a tie on 32 points.
Ndola lawyer John Kabuka was sixth on 31 points, one better than the trior of former Zampost postmaster general, Paul Simfukwe, Indeni Petroleum Refinery managing director, Maybin Noole and Yogesh Desai, the Reekays chief executive officer, who settled for seventh, eighth and ninth respectively.
Veteran Matipa Shichitamba claimed the 10th position on 29 points after winning a four-way count back.
Meanwhile, Ndola Trust School Parents Teachers Association (PTA) chairperson, James Chiwala said the aim of the golf day was to help raise funds for the construction of a design and technology building for the school.
Chiwala said this was in line with Government’s introduction of a new curriculum which emphasised also on enhancing teaching of practical skills in schools.
He said the school, established in 1973 under the former mining conglomerate, ZCCM, budgeted K350, 000 for the building of the project.
Chiwala said the school, which was now run by a board of governance since 1999, had so far raised K95, 000 for the project.
The school had initially raised K80, 000 from other initiatives and a further K15, 000 from the golf tournament.
Chiwala appealed to the Ndola business community to donate generously towards the project and ensure the children got the best in practical school work.
Ndola Golf Club captain Garry Rutherford said the club was always available to offer help to organisations working with the community.
School principal Stephen Mukanda thanked the sponsors and the golf club for rendering support to their cause.
