AT the tender age of 20, Joshua Moono is  already dreaming  of one day becoming a successful fashion guru trending under the Urban Street Fashion.
He speaks with enthusiasm and the passion which is embedded in him can be seen from the way he discusses eloquently about the fashion industry.
“Fashion is always something I have passion for …I think it’s just something I inherited from my late mother. She used to dress elegantly; hence she was my repertoire of influence as far as my interest in the fashion industry is concerned.
World acclaimed fashion icons such as Jeremy Scott , Alexander Wayne and Louis Vuitton have also had an influence on my interest in the industry while Street Fashion labels such as A Bathing –Ape, Supreme and Black Scale have also had an impact on my curiosity’’, Joshua told Weekend Times entertainment in an interview.
Joshua says his label is going to be a venture with some established Zambian fashion labels such as Malashio (a label owned by two Zambian sisters) and Kapasa Musonda’s Mangishi Love.
“Women fashion designers are really doing it in the country as they are designing good pieces worthy one’s money. This is why I need to work with one of them as there is no any other label in the country that I think has made it bigger in order to  even target the international market,” observes Joshua.
The young designer believes most of the fashion clothing which is currently available for the youths on the market is very expensive, hence he is hoping to come up with quality but affordable wears.
Apart from venturing into fashion industry , Joshua’s dream is to one day train as a pilot , stating that his father has always advised him to treasure education as he will have a fall back on a career in case fashion wear fails to take off.
