PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu has appointed commissioners for all the 14 districts in Southern Province.
Meanwhile, President Lungu has, with immediate effect, terminated the employment contracts of the district commissioners currently serving in Pemba and Chirundu.
This is according to a statement released yesterday by the President’s Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations Amos Chanda.
Mr Lungu appointed Pascalina Musokotwane as district commissioner for Kazungula, re-appointed Omar Munsanje for Livingstone and Elizabeth Kalaluka for Zimba District.
Cosmos Chiiba has been appointed district commissioner for Kalomo, while Sheena Muleya is district commissioner for Choma and Protacial Mulenga will head Sinazongwe.
The Head of State appointed Mary Sakala as district commissioner for Namwala, while Reginald Mugoba bounced back to head Pemba and Cyprian Hamanyanga deployed to Monze.
Alice Mwiinga is district commissioner for Gwembe, Jenny Chirwa for Mazabuka, while Kahumbu Haakachima will head Chikankata.
Mr Lungu also appointed Lovemore Kanyama and Athorn Hamunjo as district commissioners for Siavonga and Chirundu respectively.
