Government is scheduled to commence the upgrading of Kasempa District township roads to bituminous standard this month.
Asphalt Roads Zambia Limited which was contracted by Government to tar 9.27 kilometres of township roads in the district at a cost of K115.4 million, has already set up camp in preparation to start work.
Kasempa District Council Secretary Everty Ng’andu who confirmed the development in an interview, said such infrastructure development will open up the district to massive economic development.
Mr Ng’andu said tarring the township roads will greatly change the outlook of the district as the scenario of bad state of roads will be a thing of the past. ZANIS
