TALKING SHOP 2THE trend by most restaurants in Lusaka to keep cats in eating places is causing discomfort among clients.
Talking Shop has observed that most restaurants especially those owned by foreign nationals have a tendency of allowing their pets to roam freely in the eating areas and ‘irritating’ customers.
Talking Shop would, therefore, like to urge owners of the eating outlets to ensure that they keep their animals away from eating places, because not all the customers entertain the site of cats near their meals.
Taking this action could even add the numbers of customers visiting some of the restaurants.

THE Agritech Expo which was held in Chisamba last week provided an opportunity for those who trade in foods to earn more money looking at the number of visitors to the arena.
But Talking Shop is concerned that no small portions were allocated for small traders to sell affordable food staffs in the main arena to enable farmers and visitors get affordable meals and sample the local cuisine.
Next year the organisers of the event should try to accommodate traders inside and charge them minimal fees instead of them trading along the road about two kilometres from the main arena.
