Nakambala 0 Power 1
STRIKER Jimmy Ndhlovu scored the only goal as Power Dynamos took over leadership of the MTN-FAZ Super Division League table on goal difference ahead of Konkola Blades and Green Eagles, who continued dropping points.
Power moved up to nine points same as Blades and Eagles but the Kitwe side have a superior goal difference that relegated the Chililabombwe side to second position and Eagles down to third.
Ndhlovu scored in the 53rd minute after Nakambala Leopards keeper Moses Mapulanga failed to hold on to a Christopher Munthali initial shot that hit the bar before finding its way into the striker’s path to score.
Luka Lungu could have doubled Power’s lead but with only the keeper to beat hit the bar as the ball went out of play as Power made it three wins out of three while Nakambala remained stuck on three points.
Wanderers 0 Eagles 0
‘Mighty’ Mufulira Wanderers slightly recovered from last weekend’s loss at Zesco United to draw with Eagles at Shinde Stadium in Mufulira, reports KALUMIANA KALUMIANA.
Both sides had great opportunities to steal the three points but the post, poor finishing and some dramatic saves conspired against both sides. Wanderers had the initial go when Lameck Silwaba hit the Eagles post in the 8th minute.
Silwaba then had another good effort cleared off the line in the 45th minute by Paul Malama and this was 10 minutes earlier after Mwila Phiri’s shot on target was saved by Wanderers goalkeeper Mulife Sitali.
Eagles goalkeeper Kenneth Mwanga then denied Wanderers defender Warren Kunda after saving his point-blank header while at the other end, Mwila’s shot from range came off the post with Mulife already beaten.
Blades 3 Nkwazi 0
At Konkola Stadium, Konkola Blades silenced a noisy Nkwazi to move level on points with Power as the ‘Policemen’ failed to take advantage with a win to move top of the table, reports MOSES CHIMFWEMBE.
David Kalandanya, who emerged Man-of-the-match, opened the scores for the home side on 48 minutes before Eric Chomba made it 2-0 when he tapped in a Happy Kaunda cross from the right flank on 66 minutes.
Second half substitute Nasha Kaya also registered his name on the score sheet after capitalising on Mofya Lwandamina’s failure to clear the ball from danger, as he buried the ball past Makasa Kalaba in the 85th minute. Nkwazi remained stuck on seven points.
Rangers 0 Dynamos 0
In an earlier kick off at the same venue which was also also beamed live on SuperSport, Nchanga Rangers were left frustrated by Lusaka Dynamos after the Chingola outfit failed to convert their scoring chances as both teams settled for a barren draw.
It was a second consecutive goalless draw by Rangers as they moved to seven points with Dynamos on three.
Buffaloes 0 Zanaco 3
A brace by Zambia Under-20 star Charles Zulu and a sweet curl ball from second half substitute Emmanuel Phiri condemned Green Buffaloes to a second loss in three games but lifted the bankers into the top-four on the table, reports SHAMAOMA MUSONDA from Woodlands Stadium.
It was a painful loss for Buffaloes who created a mountain of chances in the first half but made none count and as it normally happens with a wasteful side, they were eventually punished when Zulu smacked in his first with a thunderous shot from outside the box after creating himself some space.
Zulu completed his brace in the 77th minute with a delightful dink over keeper Dave Kaumbwa after being fed by  Phiri, who himself got on the score-sheet in added time with a coolly taken curl into the top corner to help Zanaco coach Numba Mumamba beat his former boss Wedson Nyirenda at his first attempt.
Napsa 0 Forest 2
IN an earlier kickoff at Woodlands Stadium, Forest Rangers stepped out of the foot of the MTN-FAZ Super Division table after this emphatic win over Napsa Stars, who were left to seriously worry about their prospects this season.
A goal in either side of half time gave Forest their first win this season and it was courtesy of a 43rd minute strike by Fred Tshimenga before Mala Besa confirmed the win with a fine goal at a time Napsa were on a rise pushing for a leveller.
This result takes Forest Rangers up to four points, same as Napsa, who started this year brightly beating National Assembly 3-0 but have just picked up a point from the last four matches.
Arrows 1 Assembly 2
National Assembly rallied from a goal down to beat Red Arrows and collected their first win of the season after this exciting match played at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka, reports SANDRA MWILA.
Arrows made a false start through a fifth minute goal by midfielder Bruce Musakanya but the airmen were made to pay for being wasteful at goal through Gift Lukwesa, who equalised in the 70th minute after dribbling past the hosts defence.
Mathews Njovu gave his side the lead two minutes later after beating goalkeeper Danny Munyau one-on-one as the win lifted Assembly up to four points, one behind Arrows.
