WITHOUT doubt, Zambia’s slapstick comedian Topsy Sikalinda is gaining ground on the international stand-up comedy front with his recent Swaziland tour validating that fact.
The Zambian multitalented comedian and actor, was last week the guest artiste and major spectacle in Mbabane during the grand finale of the LOL comedy competition and performance night.
Known for his witty jokes, Topsy found an easy trading ground in Swaziland where all the upcoming artistes and audience could only wait with anxiety for him to deliver that special reason why he was saved for last.
“I enjoyed myself on stage and I think it was one of the easiest audiences I have ever handled,” he had to say.
From the clips of the Mbabane show, it was evident that Zambia’s Topsy was tops as his audience enjoyed his offering without doubt as seen from a number of standing ovations given to the Zambian.
With his comedy CV getting richer by the day he says his latest performance in Swaziland, is an assurance that the Zambian joking ground is very fertile such that he is not surprised to receive yet another invitation from the monarch nation.
What left most of his Swaziland fans with a major talking point was his unique ability to engage his audience as he cracked his jokes and his non offensive material?
His counterpart, Chibwe Katebe says it is very good that Topsy raised the Zambian comedy flag high yet in another country.
