IT IS no doubt Nelson Mandela made a huge impact on many individuals and nations at large.
This great son of Africa has been and is being honoured in so many ways even after his demise and Zambia is no exception.
I am impressed with Dominic Muyunda, a Ndola resident and some of his colleagues who have thought of petitioning the local authority to name a road in Ndola after Mandela as a way of honouring and remembering him.
What a brilliant idea!
This project if approved will not just go a long way in honouring and remembering the global icon but will also bring about development.
It is such ideas that must be encouraged and supported by all well meaning citizens for the betterment of our nation.
I would like to implore our citizens to get involved in anything to do with improving of people’s livelihood as I believe that with concerted efforts; a lot of things can be achieved.
It is not always about money, but even contributions in terms of ideas, opinions, suggestions and the desire to see something succeed go a long way.
I am quite certain the stakeholders will address this appeal positively as it is beneficial and worth-while. Keep up with the good work Mr Muyunda and team.
