A TANZANIAN trader has been found dead in his shop at Chisokone Market in Kitwe.
The trader was discovered dead on Wednesday morning in his shop where he used to sleep to keep vigil of his merchandise.

Copperbelt Police chief Joyce Kasosa could neither confirm nor deny the incident as she had not yet received the report.
Police in Kitwe named the deceased trader as Francis Mwanjala whose body was taken to Kitwe Central Hospital (KCH).
The death was reported by a Kitwe City Council security officer who was patrolling the market when the deceased was discovered dead.
They body of the deceased trader was found without any injuries.
Police said the deceased was trading from Chisokone B Market where he used to sell various second-hand bags at shop number BB0116 with two other colleagues.
Catherine Lupupa, the council police officer who reported the matter told the Times yesterday that while on duty, she was alerted by other traders that Mr Mwanjala slept in his shop but did not open it for the start of business.
Ms Lupupa said with the help of other officers and marketeers, they forced the door of the shop open only to find the body lying on the floor.
The body was later picked by Police officers who took it to KCH.
KCH spokesperson Grey Chishimba confirmed that the institution received Mr Mwanjala’s body on Wednesday and was certified dead at 12:42 hours.
“KCH received the deceased body that was certified dead at 12:42 and is lying in the mortuary. The cause of death is not yet known until a postmortem is done,” he said.
