Waverley blankets Zambia Accounts Director Laxi Boddapati  said the company has invested over US$600,000  in Zambia to start up businesses in Kitwe and Lusaka.
Mr Boddapati says the company is enjoying investing in Zambia because of good government policies and also attributes investment opportunities in the country to a stable economy.
He says Zambia’s stable economy and its central locality in the region attracted the company to invest in the country.
Mr Boddapati said they were attracted to invest in Zambia because it had investor friendly environment adding that it would help them stabilize and interact with other countries while doing business.
“We have come to do our business in Zambia because the country has a stable economy, is ideally located and has all the good people ,” he said.
Mr Boddapati said depending on how the business would thrive, the company intends to invest more by opening a manufacturing plant for beddings in Zambia, a  move that would create more jobs for the local people.
He emphasized that Waverly Blankets and  beddings are of good quality, affordable and meant for all the people.
