“Mr Nsanda courageously endured the pain he carried to ensure that late President Michael Sata was succeeded by a leader who would carry forward his vision to transform Zambia into a better place.
“This is indeed the moment of our deepest sorrow, yet, it must also be the moment of our greatest determination,” he said.
Mr Chama left the country for South Africa yesterday to coordinate arrangements of transporting Mr Nsanda’s body back home for burial.
Mr Nsanda served as Transport, Works, Supply and Communications  deputy minister and Local Government deputy minister in late President Levy Mwanawasa’s Government.
He was also Chimwemwe Member of Parliament (MP) under the MMD from 2001 to 2006, when he quit and joined the PF.
Mr Nsanda re-contested the Chimwemwe seat on the PF ticket in 2006 and was re-elected MP.
In 2011, the former United Transport and Taxis Association (UTTA) president did not re-contest the seat but was appointed Mr Sata’s campaign manager.
On October 8, 2012, Mr Nsanda was appointed RDA Board chairperson, a position he held till his death.
During his tenure at RDA, Mr Nsanda oversaw the implementation of three major road projects namely; Link Zambia 8000, Pave Zambia 2000 and the Lusaka (L) 400.
