The highly anticipated Lusaka derby between Lusaka City Council (LCC) and Zesco Malaiti Rangers had an anti-climax end as they two drew 1-1 while Kalomo Jetters got a fiery start to the year beating Livingstone Pirates 2-0 with Nampundwe United easily dispatching Riflemen 1-0.
Katete Rangers were gifted a home season kick-off but squandered it losing 2-1 when they faced fellow newcomers Mumbwa Medics and the story was the same to Mongu Youth Academy who were defeated 2-0 at home by Prison Leopards.
