Napsa 3 Assembly 1
NAPSA Stars yesterday started the 2015 MTN-FAZ Super Division League in the same rampant way they ended last season by demolition of National Assembly to go top of the table.
Not only did Napsa record a convincing win in this temperamental Lusaka derby to pick up three points, but scored a really quick goal which came on three minutes courtesy of former Chambishi and Orlando Pirates striker Davies Mwape off a Jean-Paul Simao cross.
The Ivorian Simao turned scorer in the 17th minute when scored through a Michael Silavwe corner before the latter also crossed for Tiki Chiluba but his goal was called back three minutes for an infringement in the box.
But there was no denying Napsa their third in the 29th minute when Keagan Zulu slotted home to confirm maximum points. However the ‘Parliamentarians’ replied two minutes later through Isaac Ngoma who scored off a Victor Nyantenga corner.
Rangers 2 Forest 0
Nchanga Rangers started their campaign on a good note beating newly promoted Forest Rangers at Nchanga Stadium in Chingola.
Goals from Spencer Ngalande in the sixth minute and another from Fashion Sakala in the 38th minute were enough for Rangers to seal maximum points but are second to Eagles on goal difference.
Dynamos 0 Eagles 1
At Sunset Stadium, CLEVER ZULU reports that ‘The Elite’ Lusaka Dynamos lost their first home match to a determined Green Eagles in a thrilling match played before a partisan crowd.
The game that started late saw Chansa Katongo breaking the deadlock in the 87th minute after neatly connecting in a Boyd Mwangelwa corner to stun Dynamos, who were hoping for a good start after winning promotion after spending four years in the lower ranks.
Nakambala 0 Nkwazi 0
At Nakambala Stadium, JIM FIKOLOMA reports that Nakambala Leopards fans were left fuming after watching their side waste countless good scoring opportunities to share spoils against new entrants Nkwazi.
The home side had a good chance in the 11th minute but Floyd Phiri shot was cleared off the line by Joseph Lungu of Nkwazi while the visitors saw Musukuma Chipunga produce a brilliant save from Moses Mapulanga.
