Ms Wina said Zambians abroad were ambassadors who should enhance Government’s efforts of attracting investors and tourists.
She said this when addressing Zambians based in the United States (US) on the sidelines of the 59th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW59), at the Zambian mission in New York.
This is according to a statement issued yesterday by first secretary for Press and public relations at the Permanent Mission of Zambia to the UN, Chibaula Silwamba.
“Zambia has many investment opportunities including in agriculture, tourism, manufacturing, real estate and many other sectors.
“These sectors offer many opportunities in which you can invest and yield considerable profits to create jobs for our compatriots,” she said.
On proposal to include dual citizenship in the Constitution,
Ms  Wina urged the diaspora to utilise the on-going Constitution making process to highlight their views for consideration.
Ms Wina pledged that she would deliver their request, for them to be voting during elections, to Cabinet for consideration.
The vice president urged the Zambians to conduct themselves in an exemplary manner and maintain the good image of the country in the international community.
Zambia’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Mwaba Kasese-Bota congratulated Mrs Wina on her appointment.
Ms Kasese-Bota reaffirmed Mission staff’s commitment to represent Zambia with dedication, patriotism and professionalism befitting the country’s admirable status in the international arena.
The Zambians later prayed for the quick recovery of President Edgar Lungu.
