FORMER Times of Zambia Managing Director Godfrey Malama has been appointed Information and Broadcasting Services Permanent Secretary.
Mr Malama was until October last year, managing director at the Times of Zambia from 2011.
President Edgar Lungu announced the appointment in a statement issued by his Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations, Amos Chanda.
Mr Malama also served as managing director at the Zambia Daily Mail from 1999 to 2006 after having served both institutions in various editorial positions for 20 years.
He is a holder of a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Wales in the United Kingdom.
Meanwhile, Mr Lungu has terminated the contract of Felix Nkulukusa as Permanent Secretary, Economic Management and Finance (EMF) for the Ministry of Finance.
He has replaced him with Ronald Simwiinga who is currently the Director of Investment and Debt Management at the ministry.
The President has also appointed Copperbelt Patriotic Front provincial chairperson, Stardy Mwale as Permanent Secretary for Lusaka Province.
