THE Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) has been voted the most trusted Government agency beating Zesco and Patents and Company Registration Agency (PACRA).
The Africa Trust Academy (ATA), an organisation that helps companies win trust within and outside the organisation conducted the polls in 2014.
RTSA was nominated in the Government agencies and parastatals category where it was voted for by the general public as the most trusted government agency.
ATA managing director Sandras Phiri said his firm works in South Africa and Zambia to help organisations gain or maintain trust within and outside the organisation.
“No special panel sat, it was the public that voted for a Government agency or parastatal that they trust,” Mr Phiri said.
Receiving the award in Lusaka yesterday, RTSA director Zindaba Soko said his organisation was delighted that it has been voted as the most trusted Government agency.
“Such awards will give us impetus to work even harder in an effort to meet our visions, goals and objectives,” he said.
Mr Soko said for his organisation to be transparent and accountable, the integrity committee was upgraded to enhance and build staff capacity to implement the agency’s objectives and functions in a manner that is transparent so that there is mutual respect between customers and the agency.
