HANDYMAN’S Paradise Zambia has said it will take advantage of the booming construction industry in the country to spread tentacles to Livingstone and Chirundu in the first quarter of 2014.
Currently the hardware chain store has outlets in Lusaka, Ndola, Solwezi and Kitwe and wants to expand.
Chief of operations officer Eric Rambeloson said the company would open two more sales outlets in Chirundu and Livingstone as part of the company’s expansion programme.
“The country’s construction sector has been booming in the past years which we want to take advantage of and open more outlets across the country,” Mr Rambeloson said.
In an interview after handing over a motor vehicle worth K67, 000 to a Solwezi business executive, Richard Bwalya who won in a draw, Mr Rambeloson said Handyman’s Paradise would continue providing a range of products as well as the best service to the Zambian client.
The company, which has been operating in Zambia in the last 20 years, deals in tiles, porcelain, hardware, electrical, sanitary, bathroom, power tools among others.
In September this year, Handyman’s Paradise launched a promotion in which customers were asked to send short messages services (SMS) at K2 each.
The firm had staked three motor vehicles as prizes in the promotion two of which had already been won and Mr Bwalya scooped the last one.
Speaking after winning, Mr Bwalya said the vehicle would ease his business to perations and help him grow the venture.
“This will definitely ease business transactions being a businessman and a farmer at the same time it will help me in monitoring works,” he said.
Handyman’s Paradise received over 90,000 entries of which three entrants won the vehicles.
