RACING daredevil David Reeve is having a dream run at the 2015 Dakar Rally as the Mazabuka rider moved up four places on the ladder to 43 after Stage Six of the ongoing race which yesterday reached midway point.
Having started in 47th place, Reeve overtook three riders and took a huge slice of luck when three other competitors ahead of him either crushed out or had mechanical problems.
But even after gaining five places, which took him to 42nd, his preferred strategy of moving at a controlled pace with a group of six other riders, meant one rider overtook the Zambian to leave him in position number 43.
Reeve thanked all people for the support and stated his race was going according to plan.
Reeve’s Team stated that the Zambian rider lost a place nearing the Stage Six finishing line in the Dakar Rally.
