POWER Dynamos have announced that they will travel to South Africa for their 2015 pre-season training camp after January 20.
The 2014 MTN/FAZ Super League runners-up will use the South Africa training camp to prepare for their outing in next month’s 2015 CAF Confederation Cup.
Power club secretary Ricky Mamfunda said in an interview that the team will travel to South Africa after voting in the January 20 presidential bye-elections.
“We want to make sure we do not disenfranchise all our players, coaches and officials who are eligible voters and who will be part of the camp by allowing them to vote on that day,” Mamfunda said.
“It is more important because the South African trip is not a competitive game but just part of our training programme.”
Power will kick off their 2015 campaign next month with a CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round, two-legged engagement against Al Khartoum of Sudan.
The Arthur Davies side will travel to Khartoum for the first leg on February 14 before hosting the Sudanese.
