THREE masked men attacked a Chinese Casino manager in Kitwe last night and got away with K110, 000 and his car keys before speeding off in a salon car.
The three, two who were armed with pistols, attacked Mr Ziong Ming who is aged 26 at house number 36 Kenyatta Street in Kitwe.
The attack which happened at 23:50 hours left Mr Ziong in a state of shock as he could not understand how the bandits noticed and trailed him.
Copperbelt Police Chief Joyce Kasosa said that the attackers broke Mr Ziong’s Nissan Elgrand drivers’ window and grabbed cash and keys.
“We have a report of a Chinese national Mr Ziong Ming who is Hotel Edinburgh Casino manager who was attacked at house number 36 on Kenyatta Street in Kitwe around 23:50 hours,” Ms Kasosa said.
She said that police had since gone on the ground to track down the bandits and assured that they would do everything possible to bring the culprits to book.
Meanwhile, SYLVESTER MWALE reports that a 21-year-old who was arrested for masquerading as a woman in a bid to attract men’s attention on Christmas day has been charged with
impersonation.
Whisk Sakala of Kabwata Township was dressed in women clothes with some female make-up to his face in his quest to attract men’s attention at a local club on at the Christmas Day.
Police deputy spokesperson, Rae Hamoonga who confirmed in Lusaka yesterday said Sakala who is currently detained at Kabwata Police station would appear in court soon.
