Zambia 4 Lesotho 0
ZAMBIA yesterday battered Lesotho to finish as Group B winners with a 100 per cent win record at the ongoing Africa Union Sports Council (AUSC) Youth Games.
After two straight wins and already through to the semis, coach Hector Chilombo made four changes to his team and rested among others Patson Daka but Patrick Ngoma was on hand to get the team going by scoring in the 13th minute.
Chisala Musonda doubled Zambia’s advantage with a 59th minute wonder strike into the far top corner before putting icing on the cake with a simple tap in from a Ngoma cross to beat Lesotho goalkeeper for Zambia’s third on 81 minutes.
There was still time for Patrick Ngoma to add a fourth in injury time to the joy of Sports Permanent Secretary Agnes Musunga who was in the stands, three hours after landing.
