WE should understand that the effects of abortions on nations can be likened to climate change. Once nature is tampered with, consequences follow.
Unwanted pregnancy, because of incest or rape or unplanned pregnancy including teenage pregnancy, rights of women over their bodies, risks of pregnancy to the expectant mother do not justify abortions.
Moreover, there is no abortion that is safe.
Apart from offending God, the nation which legalises abortions suffers from rampant murder cases and homicides because of its loss of conscience as regards the sanctity of life.
Life is life therefore, if it cannot be respected at conception, it cannot be respected at any other stage. Killing people in such a nation just becomes like getting rid of some masses of flesh out of existence.
The rights to abortions are also in some way ‘rights’ to teenage pregnancies and all forms of promiscuity since the “mass of flesh” (baby) can easily be removed at the clinic in case of pregnancy.
We should think about the psychological effects that abortions have on both the patient and the medical practitioner since this is not a normal procedure.
This may lead to nightmares, suicides, alcoholism, and gender based violence to let go of the guilt and anger.
Finally, the day of judgment is coming. Be assured that on that day of the Lord you shall hear the cries of all the babies you killed.
People of Zambia, let us preserve our nation from loss of conscience.
