A HEAVY down pour with strong winds, has blown off roofs from classroom blocks, a clinic and staff houses for Government workers at Mbosha in Chibombo District.
Mbosha school head teacher, Isaac Malipa, confirmed the development in a telephone interview to ZANIS in Kabwe, saying the incident happened at about 17:00 hours on Saturday.
Mr Malipa, however, said there was no one injured in the incident but that a lot of materials and documents were soaked at the clinic and at the school.
Another one-by-three classroom block was also damaged.
Mr Malipa, who was yet to report the incident to the District Education Board Secretary in Chibombo, explained that there was urgent need to have the roofs replaced.
He said villagers from around the school were helping teachers collecting the pieces of iron sheets, timber and damaged materials that had been blown off. — ZANIS
