POWER Dynamos coach Tennant Chilumba has proposed a training camp in South Africa next year ahead of their 2015 CAF Confederation Cup outing.
The Kitwe side qualified to next year’s Confederation Cup after finishing second on the 2014 MTN/FAZ Super League on 57 points, two behind winners Zesco United.
Chilumba said in an interview yesterday that he would like the team to camp in South Africa in the first week of January.
“I proposed to the executive that we hold a training camp in Durban. My plan is to camp in Durban for the first two weeks of January,” Chilumba said.
Chilumba disclosed that Power will return for pre-season training next Monday at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.
Chilumba added that he wants to bring in a goalkeeper, one central defender, a midfielder and two strikers.
“I am happy with the squad and as for now, I am not looking at dropping anyone. Definitely I am not dropping any goalkeeper, we will just want to add one because of our continental obligations,” Chilumba said.
Meanwhile, CAF is expected to unveil the continental draws sometime next week after the return leg of the 2014 CAF Confederation Cup final between Al Ahly of Egypt and Sewe Sport from Cote d’Ivoire on December 6 in Cairo.
