A DELEGATION of businesses from the United Kingdom (UK) led by UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) is in Zambia for a two-day visit to identify business opportunities and partners.
British High Commission political and communications manager, Alfred Kapalayi said in a statement yesterday that the purpose of the trade mission was to identify, establish and grow business opportunities in Zambia.
“A delegation of businesses from the UK, led by UKTI, will be visiting Zambia from 13 – 14 November 2014,” he said. “The purpose of the Trade Mission is to identify, establish and grow?business opportunities in Zambia as well as identify business partners and meeting potential buyers”.
The team was today expected to hold a trade mission at Pamodzi Hotel in Lusaka, where Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister Robert Sichinga would be guest of honour.
British High Commissioner to Zambia, James Thornton will also speak. Others to deliver presentations were the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) director general Patrick Chisanga and Zambia Revenue Authority commissioner for customs, Dingani Banda.
Trade between Zambia and the United Kingdom (UK) has grown to more than K1.2 billion per annum in 2014.
