TWO Kabwe men have each been sentenced to nine months imprisonment with hard labour for trafficking in Marijuana.
Shapi Zulu, 41, trafficked 6.5 kilogrammes of Marijuana.
Zulu, who admitted the charge, asked the court to be lenient with him as he was a first offender and was on Tuberculosis treatment.
Mr Mbuzi has also sentenced John Mwanza, a farmer aged 31 years, to nine months imprisonment with hard labour for trafficking in Marijuana.
Mwanza on November 5, 2014 in Kabwe District, trafficked 3.5Kilogrammes of Marijuana.??He asked the court to be lenient as he was a first offender who did not waste the courts time by admitting to the charge and that he was a bread winner with two children and the Marijuana he was found with was for smoking.
Mr Mbuzi has since called for the Marijuana to be destroyed by the court in the presence of Drug Enforcement Commission officers.
