AN eleven-year-old boy of Chief Mukuni’s area in Kazungula District has shocked residents after he committed suicide by hanging himself from the roof of a hut.
The boy, identified as Bosswell Siambweda of Namatongo Village, hanged himself on Tuesday around 07:00 hours.
Southern Province Police chief, Mary Chikwanda said yesterday that the boy took his life while his mother was preparing food in the kitchen.
“The incident happened when the mother was preparing food in the kitchen, and the reasons for the boy’s action are unknown,” she said.
Ms Chikwanda said the matter was reported to Victoria Falls Police post by Simate Nakazuka, a resident of the same village.
