Comets v Matero Magic
REINING Champions Matero Magic will today be hoping to maintain the winning formula in their bid to retain the title as they square up against relegation feared Assumption Comets in the Zambia Basketball Association (ZBA) southern region league Week 20 match to be played in Mazabuka.
Magic, who recorded a 77-66 win over Green Eagles last weekend to go top of the table on 35 points, are the favourites to emerge victorious as they eye the title for a second year running.
On the other hand, Comets are bottom of the table with 19 points out of 18 games played and win against the champions will boost their hopes of surviving relegation.
Unza Pacers v Hawks
Second placed UNZA Pacers will take on Hawks as they look forward to keep up the pressure on Magic.
Pacers have 33 points having played 18 games and are coming fresh from a 73-51 win over Lusaka City Council (LCC) Looters and an outright victory will seen them increase their chances of retaining the title they surrendered to Magic.
But Hawks, who are fourth with 29 points and have proven to be stubborn side this season, will not be a push over side. Third placed Napsa Hurricanes, who are just a point behind Pacers guest 7th placed Spartans.
