I WRITE to complain about Kafubu Water and Sewerage Company whose services are becoming a source of concern.
Apart from the erratic water supply we receive in Northrise residential area in Ndola, the company most times does not notify us whenever there is something being done to its system. We only see our taps going dry without any notice at all!
But what is even more shocking is the sending of disconnection notices even before bills are dispatched to us.
How can we know how much we owe the company if we have not received our monthly bills? Is this not as good as serving someone with a summons without telling them what case they have?
What is worrisome is that when water is disconnected, the field crew takes ages to reconnect supply despite one paying in time.
I went to the Ndola offices of Kafubu and no-one seemed to have an answer to why disconnection notices were sent to our neighbourhood despite not receiving last month’s bills.
The watchdogs should please save us from this mistreatment by Kafubu Water and Sewerage Company.

ANIMAL ON MY TOES
Away and out of sight,
No one in sight nothing was right.
In a thicket with only my eyes,
In testimony all were not lies.
It was cold and the sun was not there.
But a dark cloud a scene not rare.
I trembled and thought it was not fair.
But it happened my mind was there.
I cried to Him I prayed.
Why Lord! Why Lord, I said.
It was all quiet no answer was near.
As I cried and tried to hide in fear.
With sweat for their fate,
Angels in white stood at the gate.
Young girls tied at the back,
On their knees lost their track.
One by one pushed down,
Chopped off their heads in their blood drown.
And then their arms their legs.
I stood in shock at a loss for words.
Innocent blood down the drain,
In the holy verse un forgivable sin.
