MultiChoice has officially launched BoxOffice on the Copperbelt.
Levy Mwanawasa stadium, in Ndola last Saturday night turned into a huge cinema ground as a host of invited guests were introduced to BoxOffice.
There were popcorns, drinks, snacks and so forth. The lights were dim and texture of the environment got everyone into the mood of watching movie.
Well, there were several smart televisions, in the conference room and people had options to watch from wherever.
The biggest of them, was shown on the 500 or so inches stadium screen, where people were watching from the VIP veranda, just adjacent to the executive conference hall.
It was indeed a night to remember, It is yet another in what is yet another move to provide DStv premium subscribers with the ultimate in home television entertainment.
BoxOffice is a service that allows subscribers to conveniently rent and watch the latest blockbuster movies in the comfort of their homes, right on their DStv Explora decoders.
Multichoice Zambia general manager Simon Bota said the move to introduce BoxOffice was meant to provide ultimate home television entertainment.
DStv subscribers with the Explorer decoder will be able to choose from a variety of 20 movies, while those with the HD PVR 2P decoder can choose from a range of 15 movies. Both will be able to keep the rented movies on their decoders for a period of 48 hours. “If you have rented the movie on a Friday night, that is a whole weekend of the latest Hollyhood blockbuster movies,” he said.
Thereafter customers using the service may choose to use any of the flexible payment options to rent and make anytime movie time with BoxOffice.
BoxOffice will give subscribers access to a wide variety of movies from comedy, drama and family movies, to horror, fantasy and a whole lot more.
Each rented movies would cost K15 only.
