TIMES Printpak marketing and sales manager Mark Nyasulu has urged business owners to use emails as a marketing tool to promote their businesses.
Mr Nyasulu said business owners should start using emails as a marketing tool as it was an effective way to engage with potential and existing customers.
He said email marketing was one of the simplest and most powerful tactics to promote businesses in the country.
Mr Nyasulu said one of the good attributes about e-mail marketing was that it was cost and time effective, especially with the aid of software such as mail chimp, constant contact among others.
“However, due to the number of emails people receive daily, it is easy for your mail to be ignored, land in the trash, or worse still, in someone’s spam filters or a deliberate act by the recipient. But you can get better results of email marketing by categorising your email lists and by crafting creative messages,” he said.
He said internet users checked their emails several times a day, more than their social media pages.
“For example you can send an email to about 300 email addresses rather than the general greeting ‘Hello’ each person receives the letter in his/her own name ‘Dear Mark Nyasulu’ you can also customise other details such as telephone numbers, companies, addresses among others,” he said.
