ZAMBIAN striker Collins Mbesuma has hailed coach Honour Janza’s philosophy of blending the new and old national team players ahead of the 2015 Morocco Africa cup qualifiers.
Mbesuma said in an interview that the blending of the new and old crop in the team that is beginning their campaign for a place to Morocco this weekend when the face Mozambique would bring up new ideas.
“I am sure the blending of the team will yield fruit because every player will bring in new ideas and each player’s potential will be utilised during the games,” Mbesuma said.
Mbesuma,  who is South Africa’s Mpumalanga Black Aces striker, said beating Mozambique in the first game of the qualifiers would be a morale booster to Zambia’s next Group match as the team campaigns for a slot at the Africa cup.
Mbesuma said he was happy to be recalled to national team duty after an absence for some time.
The striker said he was grateful to the new coach for having confidence in him that he would add value to the team during the qualifiers.
“I am glad to be recalled to the national team, especially under a new coach and I have really worked hard for me to earn a place,” he said.
Mbesuma assured Janza that he would not disappoint him in his performance during the qualifying stage matches.
“I will put in 120 per cent effort in the qualifying game against Mozambique to regain the nation’s confidence,” Mbesuma said.
