By NAKUBIANA MUMBUNA –
DEFENCE Minister Edgar Lungu and Finance Minister Alexander Chikwanda were among scores of people who yesterday attended the memorial of former Defence Minister Benjamin Mwila.
Speaking at the memorial service in Lusaka, Mr Chikwanda paid glowing tribute to the late Mr Mwila, who he described as a distinguished statesman with a heart to serve Zambia.
“The late Mr Mwila has also left a great legacy of fellowship as he was always free to interact with people from all walks of life,” Mr Chikwanda said.
Mr Chikwanda called on Zambians to follow the footsteps of the late Defence minister who died last year.

Among those that attended the memorial service were Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Mkhondo Lungu, former vice-president Enock Kavindele and Lusaka Lawyer Vincent Malambo.
Others were Heritage Party President Godfrey Miyanda, Former Army commander Geojago Musengule and senior Government officials.
