THE TP Mazembe quartet led by midfield genius Rainford Kalaba yesterday beefed up the Chipolopolo ahead of tomorrow’s friendly match against Sudan at the Heroes National Stadium in Lusaka.
But as the four foreign based players were trooping into camp, another midfielder Mukuka Mulenga’s arrival remained a mystery and may not be part of the Sudan game.
Chipolopolo team manager Lusekelo Kamwambi said in an interview yesterday that the arrival of the Mazembe players had lifted the spirits in the Zambian team.
“I can confirm that the four players from TP Mazembe are in camp and will be in line for the Sudan game. All looks fine and it has lifted the spirit of the players in camp,” he said.
Kamwambi said the game against Sudan was important for both the local and foreign based players as it will help them blend.
The match will also allow Chipolopolo coach Honour Janza to have a look at his players before naming his squad to face Mozambique in a crucial Morocco 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Ndola.
Meanwhile, the Sudanese team arrived in the country on Thursday night and went into training yesterday morning in readiness for tomorrow’s international friendly.
