TALENTED Zambian folk musician Mumba Yachi has released a latest video titled Nalipena lifted from his forthcoming studio project called Iam lenshine.
The video was produced under Mojo Creative Unlimited, an innovative media company specialising in music, photography and advertising.
Mumba told DStv Entertainment during the launch of the music video on Wednesday last week that his album earmarked for release in October celebrates the plight of the women folk.
His latest album will have an assemblage of songs such as Nalipena, I Miss You and Levure, among other tracks.
“Some people thought I was crazy when I told them that I wanted to pursue a career in music … they were expecting me to go to college upon completing secondary school, however, I took those negative sentiments as a compliment as I ventured into music”, he says.
On his latest project, the 24-year-old has incorporated artistes such seasoned guitarist Uncle Rex, James Sakala and international music producer Andrew Diamond.
Invited guests who were at the launch of the Nalipena video which took place at Mojo Creative Unlimited in Lusaka’s Olympia Township were mesmerised with Mumba’s uncanness which is depicted in the video.
Once in a while patrons could be seen wiggling their waist whilst listening to the soothing music that Mumba unleashed from his Inspire Me debut album.
He captivated the guests with his signature tracks such as You Are My Love, Webuchushi and Wemwanawandi.
The singer, whose real names are Mumba Yamfwa Chintenta, is a Mufulira born folk musician who emerged on the music scene in 2009.
He completed his secondary school at Mukambo Secondary School in 2004.
Mumba was inspired to pursue a career in the industry after regularly listening to songs by the late legendary Zambian musician Emmanuel Mulemena.
