Wanderers 1 Mining 0
‘MIGHTY’ Mufulira Wanderers bounced back to the summit of the FAZ Division One North League table with a narrow win over Mining Rangers as leadership continued to exchange hands with last week’s leaders, Chambishi dropping into fourth place. The Week 23 fixture played at Shinde Stadium in Mufulira saw Erick Chibuye score the only goal of the game to inspire Wanderers to victory, as Chambishi missed an opportunity to consolidate leadership after succumbing to a 1-0 defeat at Lumwana.
Wanderers left it late with Chibuye powering home the match winner three minutes from time, much to the delight of home fans as their side moved to 41 points while Rangers remained stuck on 29 points and 11th on the log.
Forest 1 Premium 0
Striker Green Mumba scored an all important goal as Forest Rangers edged Premium Sports at Dola Hill Stadium to keep up the pressure on leaders Wanderers as the two teams are level on points but the Ndola team dropped into second owing to an inferior goal difference.

In the southern zone, Nkwazi moved back into the driving seat of the FAZ Division One south league following a win over town rivals City of Lusaka to go top in what was a low scoring weekend.
Coupled with losses by the two rivals above them, Nkwazi jumped to 46 points, one better than second placed Lusaka Dynamos and two points away from third placed Luena Buffaloes.
Dynamos suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Paramilitary, who moved up to 38 points while Luena were given a 2-1 beating away to Prison Leopards.
