LUAPULA Province Permanent Secretary Chanda Kasolo has assured investors intending to set-up businesses in the area that Government will support their interests.
Mr Kasolo says Government developmental agenda was all inclusive adding that it would protect any investor that invested in the area to improve the economy of the province.
He said government was focused on development that would see an ordinary Zambian benefit saying Luapula had a lot of economic potential that would be supported if any investor wanted to invest in province.
ZANIS reports that the Permanent Secretary said this when he addressed a team of investors from South Africa.
The South Africans are in Luapula province to explore prospects of investing in different sectors of the local economy and also interact with the business community in the area.
Mr Kasolo assured investors that Government had embarked on ambitious projects in the road sector that once completed would ease the movement of goods and services in the entire province.
The permanent Secretary told the investors that Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) good relations and that the two countries had good markets which needed more investments.
He said the DRC plans to put up a rail line that would pass through Kashiba border in Mwense through to Tanzania adding that the prospects of the rail line would benefit investment in the province.-ZANIS
