STRIKER Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba says even a narrow win will be enough for Nkana against eight-time African club champions Al Ahly when the two sides clash in tomorrow’s penultimate Group B match of the 2014 CAF Confederation Cup.
Nkana are third in Group B on four points, four behind leaders Al Ahly who must beat their hosts to progress to September’s semi-finals with a game to spare.
Kampamba said in an interview in Kitwe yesterday that he was also looking forward to scoring for a second successive Group B game.
“It is a very important game for us and we want to win at all cost. Even a win by one goal or four goals is all we want,” Kampamba said.
Kampamba has scored two goals already in Group B and has five continental goals overall since the start of the year.
“Firstly, I thank God that I have scored these goals and pray that he gives me more goals in our continental games,” he said.
Kampamba scored one goal in Nkana’s 1-all home draw with Sewe Sport of Cote d’Ivoire on May 2 and another a fortnight ago again in Kitwe in their 4-3 victory over Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel.
Meanwhile, Nkana captain Donashano Malama said there would not be a repeat of their 2-nil loss to Al Ahly suffered on May 17 in Egypt.
“We have to work very hard and we know what is at stake. All the mistakes that we made in the first leg have been rectified to ensure that we pick up maximum points at home this weekend,” Malama said.
