NATIONAL Paralympics coach Wisdom Moonga has drafted four visually impared sprinters in the 10-member national team that was unveiled yesterday ahead of the 2014 Zone Six Games slated for Zimbabwe in December.
It will be the first time Zambia will be participating at an international stage with runners in the category of the complete visually impared.
The four sprinters who include Zwide Miti (100m), Jackson Mwang’ansa (100m/200m) from Magwero School of the blind in Chipata, Eunice Nasilele (400m) of Mumbwa Secondary and Oprah Pelesu of Livingstone, who will be competing in the 800m.
Magwero School has also contributed runners with partial visual impareness in the likes of Joseph Lungu (400m), Philemon Banda (100m), Monica Munga (200m) and Celina Phiri (200m).
Other members of the team are 100m sprinter Christopher Manda of NPC club, 800/1500m runner Lauti Moonga of Livingstone.
