FORMER Zambia Golf Union (ZGU) vice-president north, Hangomba Hangomba, 44, has died in a car crash on the Kitwe-Chingola road.
Hangomba, who was sponsorship manager for the Mopani Copper Mines 2014 Zambia Open Golf organising committee, died after a road traffic accident near the Copperbelt College of Education (COSECO) turn-off in Garneton area of Kitwe on Thursday night.
Nkana Golf Club captain, Elario Musonda said Hangomba met his fate on his way from the golf club to his farm in Garneton Itimpi around 22:00 hours.
“I’ve just come from the accident scene, HH (as Hangomba was popularly called by his friends) died in a traffic road accident at COSECO turn-off on his way to his farm. We’re really saddened by his death,” Musonda said.
Hangomba is survived by a wife and children.
