A TWENTY-FIVE-YEAR-OLD man has died after he was pushed from a moving truck during a fight.
The fight broke out when two people argued while in Fuso truck and during the ensuing brawl, one was pushed off the vehicle and died on-the-spot along Lumpuma Road in Lufwanyama.
Copperbelt Police chief Joyce Kasosa said the incident happened on Friday evening and named the deceased as Moses Chabela of Lumpuma area while his assailant was Humphrey Kamulungu, 25, of the same area.
Ms Kasosa said the two who were returning home from a drinking spree in Kalulushi around 18:00 hours had boarded the truck as transport to go home.
She said while on board with other passengers, Mr Chabela and his colleague picked a fight leading to one being pushed from the truck.
Ms Kasosa said in the course of fighting, Mr Chabela was pushed off the moving truck and fell to his death.
“He sustained bruises on the belly and right side of the head. The body was taken to Kalulushi Hospital mortuary waiting postmortem and burial,” she said.
She said the suspect was apprehended and is facing a charge of murder.
Presently he is in police custody.
