KABWE High Court judge-in-charge Mwiinde Siavwapa has sentenced three men to 25 and 20 years imprisonment each for defilement.
The three were facing separate cases of defilement when they came before the court.
Mr Justice Siavwapa in passing the sentences said it was unfortunate that men had continued defiling young girls, an act he described as inhuman.
“It is sad that the girl-child had continued to suffer at the hands of selfish men, who despite having wives go after the young ones, thereby destroying their future. It is for this reason that the law will continue dealing harshly with the culprits,” Mr Justice Siavwapa said.
He sentenced Charles Kapopo, 42, a farmer in Serenje District to 25 years imprisonment for defiling a six-year-old girl and infecting her with a sexually transmitted disease.
Kapopo defiled the imbecile in March last year in Serenje.
Mr Justice Siavwapa said he had sentenced the man to 25 years for acting in a manner that was unacceptable to mankind.
The judge equally sentenced Clemet Mwiitwa, 30, a Truck worker of Kapiri Mposhi, to 25 years imprisonment for defiling a minor in November 2012.
In another matter Mr Justice Siavwapa jailed John Mwila aged 60 years, a farmer of Kabwe to 20 years for defiling an eight-year-old girl in April, 2012.
Meanwhile, Mr Justice Siavwapa has sentenced Reagan Mwaangala, 42, of Chibombo District to 18 years in prison for indecent assault.
Mwaangala on September 15, 2012 in Chisamba indecently assaulted a minor.
