EMIRATES, is offering introductory economy and business class air
fares to its customers from Zambia travelling through Dubai to
Chicago.
The introductory fare for travel to Chicago which is available from
Emirates Lusaka gateway starts at a low of K8, 280 for a return
economy ticket to Chicago and passengers can fly for as little as K37,
890 for return business class.
According to a statement issued in Lusaka, the campaign, which allows
bookings to be made up to August 5 2014, would be for the travel period
from August 5 to November 30, 2014.
It states that with a population of 2.7 million, Chicago which was
incorporated as a city in 1837 was famed for its rich cultural
heritage, world-class arts establishments, accomplished sports teams
and iconic tourist attractions which attracted about 46 million people
each year.
“Customers can purchase return economy air fares from Lusaka to NYC
from K9, 820, Washington DC from K9, 830 and Los Angeles from K14,190
and to Emirates’ extensive US network covering 10 destinations.
“Travellers can experience Emirates’ award-winning service from its
international cabin crew from more than 120 countries, gourmet cuisine
and its renowned ice in-flight entertainment system, which offers
passengers hundreds of audio and visual channels on demand.”
The new service will operate as flight EK 235 from Dubai
International Airport at 09:45 hours arriving into Chicago at 15:25,
providing particularly smooth connections with flights arriving in
Dubai from Lusaka at 06:40 hours.
The return flight, EK 236 would depart O‘Hare at 20:35 hours, arriving
into Dubai at 19:10 the next day.
Earlier this year, Emirates announced that it was launching a daily
service to Chicago’s O‘Hare International Airport, Terminal 5 from
August 5, 2014.
The service out of Dubai will be operated by an Emirates Boeing
777-200 LR and open up a new opportunity for Zambian travellers to
connect seamlessly through Dubai to the third largest city (by population) in the United States.
